KLM Aviation

The KLM Aviation professional aviation team brings over 100 years of combined experience as professional pilots who are Part 135-certified. Our pilots maintain yearly recurrent training and are equally skilled and trained as commercial airline pilots.

We require a minimum of 2,500 flight hours for first officers and 8,000 flight hours for captains. Every pilot holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license and an FAA first class medical certificate. KLM Aviation pilots are also required to train at SimuFlite Training International or Flight Safety International, the leading aviation training facilities in the corporate aviation industry.

While private air travel has normally been considered a lifestyle choice among the affluent, choosing private travel today is becoming more widely used modern convenience, due in part to the productivity, convenience and security made possible by private aviation. The affordable price options of private air travel generate endless possibilities.

Confidence to execute every detail to the most exact standards.

The KLM Management Team

In 1991, KLM Aviation, Inc. was created by Kent L. Meyer who had a dream of providing private air travel to corporate clients and private individuals who respect the dollar and the clock.

Since its first charter flight, KLM Aviation has been conducting business primarily through word-of-mouth, a firm handshake and a commitment to a good work ethic which has built hundreds of relationships around the world.

KLM Aviation is turning over a new chapter in its 20-year history with a new board of directors who are all professional pilots.

Seamless Transfer of Ownership

In 2005, a seasoned professional airline pilot and travel experts approached Meyer with an offer that sounded more like a fairy tale, but netherless was a realistic solution to his desire to expand his company. Today, Kent L. Meyer proudly serves as the company's director of operations and his initials still delivers a level of equity only possible through his legacy and leadership.

It was a seamless transfer of ownership except KLM Aviation has integrated the current economic realities into its pricing structure. Now owned and operated by Steven J. Smyth a ERAU graduate and a seasoned commercial pilot whith over 25 years of aviation experience and over 10,000 flight hours logged. Steve is a professional pilot in both part 121/135 commercial international and domestic charter flight operations. Steve has flown for several major airlines including Spirit, Continental and United Airlines where he was furloughed shortly after 9-11. Steve started Hollywood Jet Management soon after his furlough from United Airlines and has purchased KLM Aviation to complete his aviation company as a full service aircraft management and charter company.

Passenger Satisfaction First and Foremost

KLM Aviation's directors are all pilots first, which means we understand the importance of passenger comfort and security with the understanding of our clients needs and services. Our client pilot relationships are less demanding when there is understanding.

We are not selling charter from the back seats of our cars. We sell charter from the professional understanding and knowledge of business aviation and private jet travel.
